Thor turned a shocked expression towards Luthien. "What do you suppose this means? Are we both to depart on a perilous journey for the prize of... an unknown thing? Seems a little like a red herring to me." He tried to read the expression on Luthien's face, but he could not. "It doesn't sound worth it really, going after some unkown prize. I'll go with you, if you wish it, but I'd rather know more about this. Aha, here again comes Camthalion. Tell us more, friend!"

Luthien was still baffled at the strange elf's words. "I don't know what this means, Thor. He clearly takes whatever this quest or journey is deeply to heart, because he always speaks so sincerely of it. I would take up the task if it seems worth it. I'm always ready for another adventure." Camthalion then walked back in to finish up the 'debriefing'.

OOC: I have one thing to say.... Oi
BIC: Camthalion returned to his confused friends after attending to the needs of each patron in the tavern. "My friends it is time to leave. Do not ask any more questions. You must return to the places where you lodge and bring with you only necessary items. However, you will not be fully prepared until you are ready to return to Tirtha 'Uren." Thor opened his mouth to speak but Camthalion continued on uninterrupted. "Do not ask, Thor. It is not meet that I should inform you of the entire journey. All I can tell you is that you must bring with you two daggers apiece, a bow for you Luthien, and Thor....NEVER leave your sword. Do not allow it out of your sight or you will fail...." Camthalion handed them both a package wrapped in Mallorn leaves from the trees of the forest. "Do not, under any circumstances, open these unless you become separated or badly injured. They can be used only once and are very valuable to the traveler."
As Camthalion paused, he smiled. He could see such strength, such vigor, such...rebelliousness in their eyes. Both were fine candidates to be the one that would complete this mission to save the forest. "The poison that is spreading must be defeated. It lies west of here on the coast. It was brought here long ago with the fallen elves. In fact I believe it was near the time when the stranger told me this exact story...You must return to where he came to this land. You must defeat the evil that resides straight west of here before it invades these forests. If you don't all people of this land will fall...Please, hurry. I will leave my door open, return as soon as possible as safely as possible...My blessing be with you."
Camthalion departed from them with his signature glint that was in his eye as he walked away. He turned his head and whispered to himself "Protect each other. It is only when you are divided that you are weak...Haste!"
As the two exited the tavern, everything seemed to return to normal within the forests. Camthalion hoped he would be able to see both again before it was too late....

Luthien listened to Camthalion finish his lecture about the ever-necessary journey that this ranger and elf, two of the most unrelated beings, must embark on. Clearly, it was no mistake that Thor and Luthien were chosen with purpose to carry out this task, for one of them was pre-chosen to be able to fulfil the task set before them. They were indeed two of the strongest willed and strongest bodied in the forests around. Luthien snagged up the gear that Camthalion gave to them, and then she slung the dagger and bag onto her waist next to her sword...her prized sword...the one thing that would protect her life on this quest.
With her last look inside the inn, she turned to Thor. "Well, mellon nin, it looks like we're in this together. I sure hope that you aren't afraid to do this...if you are, well, I don't know what we'll do." She smirked and headed out the door, pausing to wait for Thor to follow with his gear.

He did so, shaking his head at the lack of information they had recieved. "I shall journey alongside you, Luthien, though I do not know the way or the goal."

The atmosphere in the Inn of the Yew bow relaxed and returned to small chatter. The door opened and the head of a man peered round, he looked, then entered fully. "Hello I am a visitor from afar. Can anyone recomend to me the best ale here?" Visitors to the Inn were common enough and people flocked to him asking for news and tales.
