After mindlessly wandering the city, Thor found himself in a well lit tavern. Still hooded, he made his way to a darker-though not as dark as he'd have liked-table in the corner. He ordered a hot drink and began to doze.

Luthien, clad in a dark navy, almost black, velvety cloak, entered into the Inn of the Yew Bow. Her jet black hair was concealed by the hood of her cloak, yet her fierce green eyes lay visible beneath the hood. She had just returned from a solo hunting session far away in the woods. She strode around the dimly lit tavern until she found her way to the counter where an older elf stood behind. She said in a low and intriguing voice, "I'll take the Frosted Inferno." The male elf nodded and poured a concoction of liquids into a mug and handed it to her. She thanked him and began to sip at the warm and inviting drink. She then began to gaze around the room, and noticed a strange fellow in the corner, apparently sleeping. She turned back around, and drank her drink some more.

As Camthalion handed the mysterious character a drink, he watched him head to a dark table and become extremely silent. Camthalion began to ponder...as he was coming to his conclusion the fair Luthien walked in. She asked for the Frosted Inferno. As Camthalion concocted her drink he noticed that she too was watching the strange man in the corner....Camthalion said nothing as he handed Luthien her drink, he never really did have much to say, he was simply a listener, a secret keeper by some...

Thor's eyes flashed open, but he did not move. The presence of another being alarmed him. He didn't trust others, a little something he had learned in the prison. He felt a pair of eyes on him, and a hole seemed to burn in his back. Slowly it intensified, and no longer could he bear it. "Aaaah!" Thor jumped up, not expecting for the presence to be such a striking young woman. He reddened slightly, as the young girl had spilled her drink as she was not expecting him to move so suddenly. "Excuse me, I was having a nightmare..." He quickly lied.

Camthalion was stunned by the sudden outburst of the stranger...
As Camthalion walked over to the stranger, the man muttered "Excuse me, I was having a nightmare."
"What," said Camthalion "do you think you are doing? I can tell there is something eating at you...That's why I became the tender of this establishment for the Lady of the Wood. People like to talk to me...usually" Camthalion gave a low grumble that was meant as a chuckle. "What's wrong my friend?"

"Your kindness is appreciated," Thor lied "Though I'm not a trusting person, and you have not earned my trust." Pulling a few gold coins from the folds of his cloak, he added "I'll have a tall water, and another of whatever she's having."

".....Er.....alright, well if you need anything else, let me know. I am only here to serve..."
With a puzzled look Camthalion returned to his previous position, filling orders and washing glasses. He continued to eye the stranger, and as he gave him his drink mentioned "I know what it is you seek. Others have done the same...That woman there, that startled you...she has the answer. But beware, few finish what they have started in your line of work....Thor"
With a glint in his eye Camthalion retreated to a nearby table where a familiar face had just entered the tavern. Camthalion glanced at Luthien and noticed her staring intently at Thor. Things were brewing once again in Tirtha 'Uren

Luthien had occasionally passed some glances over to the strange man, or thing, sitting in the corner, but really had not taken it to heart. Though she was a strong minded woman, she was a little intimidated by the feeling that emanated from this person. Nevertheless, she sat and drank her drink, then plopped a few silver coins on the counter. "Thanks, Camthalion." She threw her hood back on and stood up from the counter and paced over to the far side of the room where a door stood. She passed through the door into another room, one more solitary and used for relaxation and lounging, for there were a few couches and chair set up around a fireplace. She sat down on a leather one facing the fire, and just sat watching the flames dance before her eyes while she thought to herself.

By the time Thor had downed his water, it was becoming dark. He looked around, noticeing that the strikingly attractive woman had moved over by the fire, and was staring intensly at it. He started on his second drink, forgetting the name of it for the third time, but after the first few sips, he couldn't stand it anymore, and wondered how the lady could love it so much. He left his 3/4 full mug on the bar, and motioned over to the lady, sat down on a different couch just next to her, and pretend to take great interest in the fire. After piecing his sentences together in his head, he had finally worked up the courage to say them. "Lady, I do not know who you are, neither you or the bartender, but he seems to believe that you have the answers that I seek. My only question so far is, what am I seeking?" Thor knew quite well what he was after, but he was curious as to how much the lady knew. He wondered if she knew as much as the bartender.

Luthien sat and watched the crimson and gold flames dance about the fireplace. Such a simple thing to be doing, yet so many things were happening. She sat there alone until the strange man she had been on and off watching walked into the room and sat on a couch beside her. She listened to him speak in his deep but quiet voice to her, and she thought for a moment. She gave a slight smile and narrowed her emerald eyes, staring right at him. "You claim that I possess the answers to which you need," the fair woman began, "It is clear you are seeking many things, my friend. You keep your distance so that others do not intrude on your business and you shade your eyes so that you are not recognized. You are a man of solitude, one who travels alone. I believe you are trying to escape from something...what that is I am not sure." Luthien pulled back her hood to reveal her hair and face fully. Her hair flowed just past the shoulders and was a dark ebony. Her stern yet vivacious green eyes kept eye contact with the strange fellow as she began to speak. "My name is Luthien if you care to know."

Thor, hypnotized by the lady's confidence and beauty, pulled off his hood as well, for the first time since entering the city. All of his black hair, except for the two strips running down the sides of his face, was pulled back and tied with a leather thong into a short tail. His face was rough with stubble. His lips were chapped and his face was dirty, but his eyes cut through Luthien's soul as they blazed an fiery green. Thor motioned to the bartender to bring him another tall water and the lady another Frosted Inferno, then he began to talk. "My name is Thor, unless you already knew that about me. And yes, I am hiding from my past." Thor went on to tell her all about the prison, and how he escaped through the trees. "I don't know why I'm telling you all of this, but I trust you'll keep my secret."

Camthalion had been talking to the recently arrived Blaen when Thor motioned to him to bring more drinks. As Camthalion handed his friends their drinks, he mentioned "Please remember to keep your mind open as you discuss together this night. Be wary, however, some things in the past may best be left in the past..."
He paused, then smiled and chuckled while saying "Please, if neither of you mind of course, allow me to join you later this evening when my duties have been completed. I have some wisdom, as well as stories and experience to share with you...." With a mysterious smile Camthalion returned to the table where Blaen was seated.

It had been too long since Blaen had laid eyes on the fair faces of the elves. He had forgotten how much he had missed being among those who were so much apart of his early life. As he entered the Inn he even recognized several friends from his childhood before his people were dispersed....
"Blaen?! Is that you?" Blaen looked to his right and saw Camthalion, who was not as light of an elf as he used to be, walk from a corner where a dark stranger was residing. As Camthalion came towards Blaen, the stranger moved to the nearby fire to talk with a fair elf whom Blaen had not yet been introduced to.
"Camthalion! It's wonderful to see you! It's been so long. How are you my old friend?" They began with small talk and caught up concerning the last few years but soon after Blaen was interested in the two characters by the fire. "What are their names? They both seem to have a deeper purpose than what outwardly appears..." Camthalion responded "She is Luthien, he is Thor. For now, that is all I may say. In fact, I must go talk with them...for a moment. Please excuse me, Thor appears to be requesting another drink as well."
Camthalion moved away while Blaen stared intently. He recognized Thor from somewhere, he had met him, he knew him well...he almost looked like his..."Well, Blaen! How did you get here? I noticed a fine stallion outside. Cedoc I believe? Can....?" Camthalion interrupted Blaen's thoughts. Perhaps he would be introduced later on to these new faces, or at least, he hoped so...

Luthien sat still as she continued speaking with Thor, as he later introduced himself as. For a brief moment, the two were silent as Thor revealed his face as well, allowing Luthien to see his rugged yet intense appearance. She smoothed back a section of her black hair that had fallen in front of her face with a hand covered in a partial, fingerless grey leather glove. "Thor, as you call yourself, it is a pleasure. I assure you I knew nothing of you than before the moment I set foot in the tavern this eve," Her eyes shone truthfully as she spoke, "I can see something in you that is unlike most others." She sat and listened to his tales of prison and hiding. "That's atrocious that you had to be kept in prison, but brave indeed of you to escape in such dangerous conditions. Only someone strong willed could have pulled that off." He offered his trust to Luthien, and offered him to trust in her as well. "You may confide in me, Thor. I will keep your secrets, I swear with my life upon my sword Silverbane. You have my word."

Thor smiled as the Lady Luthien showed her confidence in him as she swore to keep his secrets. After saying Thank you, he took a long drink from his mug and looked over to Camthalion wondering if he still wanted to join in on their conversation.
