Blaen and Camthalion had been having a wonderful conversation concerning what had happened to them in the last years. Camthalion let out a laugh that seemed to shake the entire establishment.
Slowly Camthalion realized there were eyes watching him from behind. Blaen mentioned "The stranger continues to stare at you...Perhaps you should go over and talk with them. I know you are full of insight. I think they need your fine intellect my friend!" Blaen laughed at his sarcasm. Camthalion chuckled but knew it was no laughing matter. He excused himself from the still laughing Blaen and joined Thor and Luthien.
"Hello, my friends. Do either of you understand these circumstances? Did it seem strange to you that we three seem to share something? It is something I have noticed tonight...."

Luthien watched as the bartender Camthalion walked into the alcove-like room to speak with her and Thor. There was a look of slight confusion about Luthien's face as the man began to speak. "Certain circumstances? I don't see what you mean, my lord. I do not see what we share, other than we share this room and this conversation. Please, enlighten me to know what you intend to mean."

I also do not understand. I noticed that we have the same hair colour, but that's all...

Ignoring the conversation Elrohir walked in, a solitary figure in the warming atmosphere.
An empty seat in the far corner had his name on it. He sat and waited. A hand signal to the barman called for a miruvor.

Out of the corner of his eye, Camthalion noticed a new face walk in and request a drink. "If you will excuse me my friends, it is not permit that my attention should be solely focused on such fine patrons as yourselves...." With hesitation he added, "Think upon what hath chanced and, at a later time, let us speak our free hearts each to other...."
Camthalion dashed away to help his assistant keep the teeming masses pleased.

Thor was puzzled at the bartender's statments and incomplete thoughts. His eyes followed Camthalion to the new guest, then turned his confused gaze to Luthien. "I don't understand. What was he talking about? How can we share something if we've just met?"

Luthien sat and looked back at Thor's dark and puzzled eyes as he spoke. She sat forward on the edge of the seat and looked him in the eye. "Well, Thor, even though old man Camthalion claims we have some mighty connection that he seems to be sure of...maybe we do have more in common that meets the eye. Maybe we share something deeper than our hair color."

"Perhaps you are correct," Thor whispered. He looked out the window into the night's sky.
What did this old man know? Why to take an interest in getting Luthien and I to chat? It seems this man is a little more than here appears.
"Would you care to join me for a drink tomorrow? Perhaps we can discuss our 'common traits' after a good night's sleep."

Luthien shrugged, not knowing what Camthalion meant; perhaps he was slightly out of his mind. She felt the chill breeze of the open window and heard Thor say something back to her.
"Would you care to join me for a drink tomorrow? Perhaps we can discuss our 'common traits' after a good night's sleep."
Her pale face quickly fashioned a slight rosy color and she gave a small smirk. "Of course, Master Thor. I would be delighted to join you. Perhaps we can figure this all out tomorrow as you say. I will see you tomorrow, then, my lord, for now the night is waxing on and the hours passing by late into the shadows. I must take my leave and retire for now. Goodnight." Luthien stood up and nodded at Thor, then walked out of the tavern, throwing a silver coin at the bartender's assistant. "Keep the change, my friend."

Elrohir stood from the corner where he sat, and walked over to the bartender.
"Excuse me, bartender.
I apologise for my rudeness before, I am weary from my days travel, and I hope that you can forgive my sloth. It was not intended, I merely mistook this inn for many others I travelled in. However I can see that you are short of hands.
Despite my tiredness I will help you, if you wish it"

Seeing that the Lady Luthien had left, and the new guest was occupying the bartender, Thor took his chance. Not wanting to be seen, he immediatly collapsed onto the couch. He laid there, concealed by the lag couch-back, and dropped into a deep sleep.

The next day...
The night had passed and Luthien had gotten much needed sleep. She had slipped into a blissful sleep filled with pleasant dreams. In the morning, she awoke to find herself refreshed, then carried out the tasks she needed to to fill the time in the morning. By mid-afternoon, she recalled her appointment with Thor back at the Inn of the Yew Bow, for he had invited her to have drinks with him. She pushed open the familiar wooden door again and found the same corner Thor was hiding out in the day before, and she waited.

lucky for the dignity of Thor, he had woken up by mid-morning, and had not been sleeping on the couch when Luthien returned. He was actually on the roof, to the dismay of Camthalion. Thor liked being at the height of things. He liked looking down at people as they continued on with their lives. As he stared, he saw the Lady Luthien remember their appointment and duck into the Inn. He quickly slid down the roof, taking care not to land in a nearby barrel of rain water, and walked through the doors, which were still swinging from Luthien's entrance.

Luthien sat patiently in the small booth in the corner of the room, and watched the early afternoon customers come in and out ordering drinks and laughing together as they socialized. She snapped her fingers and a waiter came over; she ordered a hot mug of peich, a type of elvish juice. Then she saw that familiar rugged man enter through the doors as he had promised.
"Mae govannen, Thor."

Camthalion entered from a nearby door at the back where his small, but personal bedroom was located. He noticed that Luthien and Thor were already together discussing.
"Hello my friends. You two seem to still be confused about the circumstances. Let me explain myself.......Long ago a man entered this tavern. He told me that one day a descendant of himself would come to this land without a purpose, without a mission, without a goal. Thia man explained to me that when that person came here it would be time to reveal to the individual the quest that needed to be pursued. He told me how to identify the individual. The person that I would be looking for would be powerful, strong-willed, share my hair color, and be deadly to all those that would oppose him. But, my dilemma also originates from his description. Tht stranger from long ago never said "him". To this day I do not know if it is a male or a female that I should be looking for. That is why I believe it is definitely one of you. However, I do not know who."
Camthalion paused to take a breath and let this sink in. "But you should both know that...the stranger told me that whoever embarks upon this quest and is not of the chosen, that person would perish along the way. Not only that, but the chosen is the only one who is able to complete this quest, alone. The only way to know who is the chosen is for...both of you to go on this mission. Eventually you will know who is the descendant of that man from long ago. I can't say how or when, but you will know..."
Someone called out to Camthalion. As he stood up he mentioned "While I am away, please, discuss and decide what the future holds for both of you. And remember, no one can accurately predict the future..." Camthalion becme the cheery complimentary bartender again. "I wil return in a moment with you drinks!"
