After meeting a few of the Queen's closer friends, Silmevana had asked permission to depart and explore this center of activity on her own. Livira had readily agreed and urged her to seek her out if she needed anything at all. After a bit of wandering and greeting a few kind people who inquired about her and invited her to various places, she came to the Silver Stallion. She felt she needed a bit of wine to settle herself. These new surroundings were very exciting yet she felt a bit anxious still.
She pushed open the door and saw a few hobbits and men sitting, scattered about the main tavern floor. Quietly, she moved up to the counter and waited for someone to take notice of her. Her dark blue hood was still up, due to her shy manner. A man came out from what appeared to be the kitchen and from across the bar counter asked, “What can I get for you?” “Just a glass of wine and some cheese and bread, thank you,” she replied softly.
Silmevana chose a table in the corner of the room with a view of the fireplace. She could hear bits and pieces of different conversations, about the town and the surrounding forest and such. But soon they were drowned out by her own thoughts. A feeling of freedom had filled her. There were so many new, and different people here. So much to do and see, shops she wanted to enter, places she wished to stay, and much of the forest she still had the desire to explore. Though her own home had shops and such of its own, there was an ambiance here that no longer mirrored that of her land. A swift pang entered her heart but soon was pushed out as a hobbit brought her plate of bread and cheese and her glass of wine to her table. Eating the fresh, soft bread and the delicious cheese, she gazed out a window near to her seat. The forest was truly beautiful and like no other. It comforted her heart. She picked up the pewter glass and sipped the rich, red wine as she thought of the night. There was a lodging place near by, or so she had heard. Once she had finished here she decided she would look into a room there. So far no one had taken much notice of her…

Toriana walked into the Silver Stallion Tavern, tired and a tad frustrated. Just before she had tried to look for a home to buy or some land to purchase so that she may find a permanent residence in the forests, but things were just not going her way. For the time, she would have to remain in the inn until she found land. There were no available places for her that were in her price range, so she decided to go to the tavern and drink off her frustration.
She stepped into the dark tavern and pulled off her hood, revealing her long, reddish-golden locks that bounced down past her shoulders. Toriana slowly walked over to the counter and asked Camthalion to pour her a drink. As she waited for her order to come, she looked around and noticed a female, presumably an elf, sitting along at a table near the window. Though Toriana was fairly new herself, she had never seen this lady before. Being the friendly, outgoing person that she was, Toriana walked over to the table with her drink in hand to meet the woman.
"Hello, I'm Toriana from Ëaldor. May I sit down?"

After finishing her glass of wine, she was preparing to leave. She had been staring intently out the window and concentrating on some now lost thought. All of a sudden, she heard a voice introducing herself. She looked up to see a fair lady with soft, cherry-golden curls flowing down past her shoulders. Caught off-guard, she flashed her striking blue eyes and responded,
"Of course, I'm sorry, I was deep in thought...I am being rude. Toriana, I am Silmevana Iriel. Please sit down. I apologize, I am a stranger here as of yet. I arrived only this day with the Queen. I have no lodgings, and I had heard there is an inn near by. Do you know of it?"

Toriana smiled, "Oh, it's no worries. It's indeed a pleasure to meet you, Silmevana." She sipped at her drink, not as much as she had intended for she had been calmed as she met Silmevana and had forgotten her troubles with finding a house.
"Oh, lodging? I'm staying at the Inn of the Yew Bow. Very nice and rather reasonable. I suggest looking there."

"The Inn of the Yew Bow? Yes I recall someone mentioning it now. Well, I will be glad to have a friend there. I suppose I shall be heading over, seeing as it is dark and I have had a long, tiring journey here. I am very much looking forward to a few days rest."
Silmevana reached into her leather bag which she normally kept concealed beneath her cloak. She felt more at ease now, it was nice to have someone to talk to. She drew out a few coins and placed them in the center of the table. After another pensive glance out the window, she turned to Toriana again.
"I do not know my way around very well yet and the dark has deepened significantly now. If you were heading over there anyway, I would appreciate your company on the way over. I hope I am not putting any inconvenience on you."

"Oh, of course. I'd be happy to show you the way. Just let me finish my drink- I've had quite the day," Toriana said, giggling. She held the door open and they exited the tavern and went out into the dark night.
"It's not far, Silmevana. It's really quite close. We just have to cross the street and over a few buildings. If you want to, you may stay with me. I have an extra bed. That is, of course, if you want to and if you want to save a few silver coins. Besides, I've been kind of lonely myself. Perhaps we could be friends?"

"If you are sure I will not be intruding, I would gladly accept your generous offer. And I do need a friend!! I too, have been alone for some time now. I have-or...had a sister and you remind me of her in some ways. I would be honored."
She smiled at Toriana and as they crossed the quieting street in the dark, she finally felt comfortable enough to pull back her hood and feel the cool breeze blow a few stray portions of her burgundy hair about her face.
"You spoke of a hard day? I hope I am not encroaching by bringing it up"

Toriana smiled, ecstatic that she had made her first official friend. When Silmevana asked about her day, Toriana replied, "Oh, you're not encroaching. It's just I was looking for a piece of land or a home to buy today and it wasn't going very well. Things have cheered up quite a bit today though, now that I have someone sane to talk to."
Toriana found her way to the wooden door of her inn room and opened it with the key. It was dark inside, so Toriana lit a few candles to brighten things up. "Well, this is it," she said, plopping down upon the pillowy bed.

"The rooms here are quite nice! Spacious and yet cozy enough to feel comfortable. If things go well here, which I am sure they will, I suppose I will too be looking for some land or a home of my own. Though I abandoned my home land on my own, I do miss having a place to go home to. And these woods are beautiful."
Silmevana moved over to the extra bed at the other end of the room. It was adorned with a thick, soft red blanket spread across the top of crisp white sheets. There was an extra blanket, the color of cream, folded at the end of the bed. The soft, fluffy white pillow was overstuffed with down and the bed looked very inviting. She sat down and unfastened her cloak, laying it on a sturdy wooden chair a few inches from the foot of the bed.
"I want to thank you again for being so gracious as to let me stay here. I suppose I will head back over to the tavern in the morning for breakfast."

Toriana nodded, smiling, and then slipped into the wash room to change out of her rough day clothes into her sleepwear. She came back and literally jumped into bed with a spring in her step and lay her head on her pillow. She drifted off into a deep, deep sleep, full of dreams and wonderful images. She for once in a long time slept peacefully and comfortably, not worrying about anything from at home.

The next morning, Toriana arose and headed over to the tavern to get a small piece of bread and fruit for breakfast. The waiter that came and served her was actually a hobbit, surprising though because there were many elves that worked there.
"How may I serve you this morn', my lady?" "Oh, I will just have some waybread and a small golden apple. Oh, and a water, please." The hobbit nodded and wrote down her order, then skipped off to get the food. When he came back, he said, "Here you go, my lady. Will I be serving you again in a while for second breakfast? Perhaps Elevensies? Afternoon tea?" Toriana laughed, then put her hand out to stop him.
"No, no, that's quite alright, Master Hobbit. We elves don't eat as much as you do. I won't be coming back until later this afternoon perhaps." Then she noticed Silmevana coming in through the doors.
"Silmevana! Suilad! Come, I saved you a seat here," she said, smiling to her friend.

Waking a bit late, or so she judged by the light outside the window, Silmevana climbed out of bed and headed to the wash room immediately. After cleaning up a bit, she dug through her bag to find a bright red dress and a dark brown, hoodless cloak which fastened at the neck with two leather strings. She put on the cloak in case it was a bit chilly out. As she looked around she thought Toriana must have been up and about already. She took a few coins and placed them in an inner pocket on the left side of her cloak. Pinning her hair back, she headed out the door and shut it tightly behind her.
Remembering the way from the night before, she darted over a few streets and listened intently to the busy lives of those around her. The bright sunshine made everything cheery. She looked up and saw the Silver Stallion sign sway a bit in the wind. Just as she walked through the door, she heard her name and turned to see her new friend Toriana waiting for her at a table.
"Suilad! Thank you for saving me a seat. It is a stunning morning. I hope you slept as soundly and as well as I did. Again, I thank you for allowing me to stay with you for the time being."
Just then a hobbit came up to the table,
"Ah, I see you have a friend with you! What may I get you?" "Well, I have worked up an appetite overnight. I think I will take some fried potatoes, your biggest red apple, and two eggs, scrambled please. A glass of water will be fine with it." Silmevana smiled at the hobbit. Her heart was lightened by his manner. He turned and headed off to the kitchen.
"So do you plan on continuing your efforts of yesterday?" she asked, turning back to Toriana.

Sadron stepped into the Silver Stallion Tavern, relatively unnoticed. He wore his usual hooded cloak and kept his face hidden quite well. He was new to these parts, but it mattered not because he worked alone anyways, going from place to place not knowing anybody anywhere. He walked straight up to the bar counter and planted down a silver coin. He coughed, getting the bartender's attention.
"Make it a hot Gildorian malt, hold the lemon," Sadron said. The bartender nodded and went away to prepare the drink. Sadron looked around the room, with observing eyes. Soon, the warm frothy mug was placed in front of Sadron, drawing his attention to it. "Thank you," He said, then picked up the mug, sipping in the rich liquid.

Entering the Silver Stallion, Aredhel looked around. She wore, even if it is unfit for a female, a pair of brown leggings, and a dark green tunic, along with a dark brown/black cloak. With her she carried her fiddle case, her pride and joy. Aredhel has been dubbed one of the best fiddle players in all of Middle Earth, she hoped her luck didn't run out on her now. She made her way over to a corner of the room, it was perfect, no tables in the way, and it's right next to the hearth, which had a splendid fire going in it. Bending down she opened the case and took out her fiddle, leaving the case open on the floor for hopeful tips, she began to play a catchy toon. Seeing the faces of the happy people she started to play a little faster, keeping in rythm of that of the folks clapping.
