Luthien slowly and softly lifted up the hood of her dark navy velvet cloak and rested it on her obsidian hair. The night was not cold by any means, but the perfect chill lingered in the slightly breezy air. She crossed over the small stream in the forest and passed the sleeping buildings toward the exit of the forest. Through green bush, hidden in deep shadow and illuminated by only a small leak of moonlight through the tall trees, she walked quietly. She travelled for some time until she came to a hill that over looked a valley far off and there she sat down on the soft grass.
Luthien looked far out into the distance, pondering deep into the moon as her thoughts drifted from one pensive thought to another. It had been long since she had found herself alone with the forests to hear her soul's song. It was rather peaceful up there, underneath the starlit sky, but somehow something was still bothering her in her mind. She picked up a small stone and tossed it over the side of the hill and watched it disappear into the gradating darkness below. Just then, someone appeared out of the shadows, catching her off guard.

As usual Sadron was roaming the land at night, instinctively pulling from him natural ranger mindset. He found himself a nice little plot of soft soil amid the forests and pulled out his sword, beginning to practice and keep up on his skills. Hacking and slashing, pretending to block and defend he went. His large boots left equally large prints in the ground with each step and the blade of the sword made a beautiful swishing sound each time he struck.
Then, his keen ears heard the tiny plink crack sound of what sounded like a small rock. He sensed it was maybe a dozen meters away. Curious, Sadron sheathed his sword and threw on his cloak and followed the direction of which the sound came from. Slowly and cautiously he stepped until he emerged from the trees to find himself nearing a dropoff in the hill, and to his surprise a slender cloaked figure sat facing away from him.
"Hello?" He said, putting his hand on the hilt of the sword just in case.

Luthien stood up and with her deep emerald eyes she gazed at the man who had just addressed her. Keeping her gaze on him, she simply bowed her head to him and folded her arms beneath the cascading velvet cloak. She took a breath and began to pace around the man.
"So, stranger," Luthien called out in a soft, soothing, but inquisitive tone, "Have I met you before? You seem so familiar..." She couldn't recall his name, but she felt impressed that she had met him sometime before. Perhaps it was his presence, the very way he walked that sparked a light in her memory.
Before he could answer she said, "My name is Luthien Eleniel. I travel about the lands alone, exploring new places and gathering magical supplies. Please my lord, tell me your name. I am also curious as to why you are here--perhaps you followed me?" Luthien's confidence and strength were evident in her voice, yet at the same time her voice still remained mysterious and intriguing.
